TRTER 2018 by Stephen Blea

On July 21-22, 2018, over 200 people participated in the Tahoe Rim Trail 100-Mile Endurance Run, an ultra marathon with over 18,000 feet of elevation gain/loss over the course of 100 hard earned miles, all at an average 8,300 feet above sea level.

This video was filmed during the 2014 Tahoe Rim Trail 100 Mile / 50 Mile / 55k Runs. The run takes place within Spooner Nevada State Park, NV and USFS land near and around Diamond peak Ski Resort.

Normally, I would not be inclined to share a race report for a DNF. But, since this was not the run-of-the-mill situation and I had so much joy at Tahoe Rim Trail 100 2018 despite the outcome, I wanted to share. Also, I learned a new definition for DNF (thanks to I-Tao Tsai) that I think is far more appropriate than the usual – Do Not Forget. That motivated this report! READ MORE
