Looking for a 100K to qualify for Western States? — TRTER has you covered! It wasn’t hard to find a few extra miles on our trail network to upgrade the 56 miler to a 100K. Plus, participants who finish before the 20 hour mark get a Western States qualifier.
With July 20th just around the corner, here’s a little peek into the TRTER experience!
The TRT Endurance Runs’ “50K” has always been a little long in mileage. In fact, we eventually changed the advertised distance to “55K”. Since we moved the start/finish to the John L. Harvey Baseball stadium on the Western Nevada College campus in Carson City, Nevada, the distance for all three events increased in mileage; until 2024. TRTER is dialing back the mileage on it’s shortest ultra-distance race. The 63K is now a classic 50K! It’s still a tough one, incorporating the 4,200 foot climb up Ash Canyon to Snow Valley Peak and the long and winding single-track finish down the Capital 2 Tahoe Trail and Ash to Kings Connector. If you’re looking a a gorgeous and challenging 50K with plenty of vert and amazing Tahoe views, registration to enter the lottery is open from December 3 – 18, 2023.
